Petchay | I’m A Second Born, And I Love Green.
I was 5, my elder sibling and I are so excited for the daily routine, the Power Rangers!
In a flash, the moment came to our eyes, excitement arises more as we sing to the intro of the tv series, playing roles, shouting the name of our favorite power ranger.
My elder sibling is power ranger red. I could never argue, as the more dominant sibling he would always pick and fight to be the primary character; which is being represented by the color red.
I, being the second born would always be the supporting or secondary character, green. It’s ironic because green is also a secondary color.
It has always been the routine, when we play Super Mario, my brother would always play Mario who is red, and I’ll play Luigi who is green. In Voltes V, my brother would portray Steve, who is the leader and also wears red, but I wouldn’t go for the second in command Mark because he wears blue. Instead I’d go for little John who’s got a green costume.
As we grew older, our color representation stays with us no matter what we watch or even the stuffs we buy. Our color preferences which I firmly believe started with power rangers stayed with us to date.
My brother just brought his own motorcycle that is colored red, his phone is also red. We had a computer shop, he named it code red.
On the other hand, I’m here. With my favorite color green. Which to date, makes me the green minded that I truly am.
